Geoff

The famous TaiChi Chuan teacher Cheng Man-Ching was a supporter of the view that one should pursue the 5 Excellences in order to develop personal integrity! Accordingly, he practiced Tai Chi, Chinese Medicine, and calligraphy, wrote poetry, and treasured his excursions into the world of painting.

Geoffrey Wilson has also held this view of the 5 Excellences and has diligently pursued Oriental Medicine for nearly 30 years, classical, acoustic and electric guitar, musical composition, fiction and non-fiction writing, cooking and in more recent times, Tai Chi Chuan.

Geoffrey has written more than 20 books (including the ‘Tao Diet’ series and ‘The Spirit of Change’), and presented the popular ‘Your Food, Your Medicine’ DVD series. He has composed published music, written curriculum, and produced DVDs.

As such, daily life is for Geoffrey an opportunity to cultivate personal development using the world to refine and polish understanding.

Emerging from a background in philosophy, Geoffrey began his career in natural therapies with dietetics in the late 70s. This resulted in a move to Boston where he studied with the world’s foremost authority on Macrobiotics, the legendary Michio Kushi. After this he refined his art with Arn Jing Tsun, the Chinese Barefoot Doctor.

Upon his return to Australia, Geoffrey commenced a long association with education as a lecturer and course developer at the Australian Shiatsu College in Melbourne (1985-86), and the Australian College of Natural Medicine in Brisbane (1987-93). The experience gained at these prestigious institutions led to the opening of his own schools, the Traditional Healing Arts Centre (1994-97) and the Australian Institute of Applied Feng Shui (1998-2001).

In 2001, Geoffrey D. Wilson established Art of Health Australia in Sydney with the aim of cultivating and refining a holistic model for health care management based on the principles of Oriental philosophy and medicine.

Passionate about Oriental Nutritional Medicine and Oriental Psychology, Geoffrey returns to the classroom in 2009 to teach his new programs face-to-face and share his discoveries linking medicine to its spiritual roots.

His vision is to awaken people to their Soul's purpose.

Jaime

Jaime has spent a large part of her life immersed in and observing cultures around the world and now applies this understanding to the culture of the human body. With an ability to interpret the patterns of the body and mind, Jaime’s focus is to cultivate health and inspired living, and sustain wellbeing.

She has studied with various teachers of considerable expertise and ingenuity and the inspiration she has gained has led her to explore the relationship between spirituality and medicine with great passion.  She has a creative and unique understanding of these practices, which enables her to translate the ancient methods and interpret them for our modern world.

Jaime’s interest in Eastern culture through travel and work experiences was intensified when traditional Chinese medicine helped her recover from a threatening chronic illness. Intrigued by this medicine she subsequently embarked on a career in the Oriental healing arts and continues to pursue it with great enthusiasm.

Her spectrum of influence is very wide and includes a portfolio working within highly specialised fields of Complementary Medicine and their therapeutic applications to men, women and children. She has great skill in helping people in whatever stage and state of life they find themselves.

Jaime also devotes much energy to the development of the profession in her capacity as President of the Oriental Health Practitioners Association of Australia, as well as the Manager of AOH Education and Publishing. She also held the positions of Lecturer and Course Coordinator with Nature Care College. Prior to this, Jaime’s experience extended to working with children in pre-schools and also within a special unit for children with emotional and behavioural disorders in the public school system.
